Favorite Part About the Class (Post 5 of 5)
I really enjoy how laid back the class is. It's a class I don't stress out about and it's pretty much the only class I look forward to going to.
Textbook (Post 4 of 5)
This is the textbook we use for the class. It is very detailed. 10 out of 10 would recommend if interested in computer science.
Why Take a Computer Science Class? (Post 3 of 5)
Computers are essentially taking over the world. Let's be real. If you live in a first-world country, chances are you are surrounded my computers and laptops. Understanding the fundamentals of computers is beneficial. Learning how to affect coding and programming is just pretty darn entertaining. Taking this class was probably a really great way to start off my time at my new school.
Anti-Virus preference (Post 2 of 5)
I have installed Avast! Free onto my laptop. I really like it because it's free. It also protects my laptop when I choose to stream videos. I believe every laptop should have some sort of anti-virus on it. This is my preference.
CSC 1020 post 1
I realized I'm supposed to make five posts regarding my computer science class. This is post 1. The class is pretty interesting. I'm learning more about computers, and I also got to make this blog, which I intend to use for a while. I'm sad it's only half a semester, but I will be taking the programming class for the remaining of the semester.

Second Life- A New Experience
In CSC 1020, our professor made us create an avatar using Second Life. It was very glitchy and honestly just a pretty weird experience. People take it very seriously and apparently even Sweden has an embassy in the game. Crazy, right?
Let me know if you guys have ever made an avatar like this and if you have, what do you use it for?
Cheers!

Super Bowl XLIX
In less than an hour, the big game starts. I'm not really rooting for anybody, but I guess if I had to choose, I would go with the Seahawks, just because of Deflate-Gate.
Here are the teams I would root for (I know, I like many teams, but it's been a while since the home team was good.):
Here are the teams I would root for (I know, I like many teams, but it's been a while since the home team was good.):
- Tampa Bay Bucs (That's my area team. I hope they draft Mariota.)
- Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins (they're tied because those are the other two Florida teams, so I feel obligated to like them, even more so than the Bucs.)
- New York Giants
- Denver Broncos
- Green Bay Packers
- Baltimore Ravens
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Indianapolis Colts
Usually, at least one of those teams are at the Super Bowl. At least they have been since I started paying attention about 6 years ago.
Why do I feel obligated to like the Bucs and the other Florida teams? Well, if you haven't figured it out, I'm from Florida. And I want to have pride in the place where I grew up, even though I can't wait to leave. So yeah, I actually genuinely like the Bucs, but most of it comes from obligation and wanting the home team to be good so I can be proud. Sounds lame, but it's how I feel.
Here are the signs I made for my family's party tonight:
Be safe tonight!

Why I Made This Blog
I made this blog for my Bits, Bots, and Games Computer Science Class. No one else has really made their blog at this point because it isn't working on the school computers. I just pulled out my laptop and set it up myself.
Although this was set up for my class, I might actually keep up with it. Maybe. I have a Tumblr, which I feel is a more popular blogging site, but I don't ever really write stuff on there. So I guess that is what I'll use this blog for.
If you want to follow, or whatever you do on Google Blogs, do so at your own risk. I'm probably the least interesting person on the planet, and the majority of my posts will probably have to do with my life in college, or rather lack thereof. If I ever become a riveting person, I'll let you know.
Enjoy!- Anisha M. K.
